Bad Weather weekend
Son and daughter in law are supposed to fly in tomorrow from Montreal to Orlando for Christmas, right now there is about a 70% chance that their flight will be canceled. I think I'd rather them just stay home rather than to be "stuck" somewhere en route.
Going to be a big surprise for them if they do manage to make it down here as our temps here are going to be in the 20s and 30s ...................... not what you are looking for on a winter trip to sunny Florida.

I've lived in Florida for 65 years and I've seen it snow three times, pretty rare occurrence.

Yeah, I started to re-type that as 1977. I was in High School in NE TN in 75-76' when I went up there before my Family, when they thought they were moving there. Went back to Miami for 2 more years, then my Family moved up my Senior year. So people in the TN. School saw me as a Freshman, then again as a Senior.

I hope they make it and have a safe uneventful flight. However, maybe you better call and tell them to bring hard hats;
Florida's iguanas might fall from trees, hit people amid cold front
Iguanas are cold-blooded and when the temperatures drop, the normally tropical reptiles slow and can become frozen.That could smart having one of the bigger ones fall on you! Bob

Thank you guys for the well wishes, Mother Nature can be quirky sometimes, I just hope she gives them a break this time.
What a year this has been in Florida, record high temps all summer, two hurricanes in a month, been overcast for nearly two months and now it's "life below zero" we just can't seem to get a break this year.
I'm not complaining though (well, maybe a little), I know a lot of you guys would swap weather with us in a heart beat and our thoughts are with all the members here for a safe and merry Christmas.
