If a car dealer sells a car to a person, and that person kills someone with the car (DUI ect), this BS will stop.

Because there are a lot more of those type of non-associated incidents.

The gun did not kill anyone, the person did. The car did not kill anyone, the person did.

This type of BS has got to stop.

When Remington caved that opened a whole can of worms

not so much Remington as the insurance company to clear there books

still a big loose and on the surface, they wave Remington's name as a huge victory

I have seen states are trying to pass bill to sue the gun company for any wrong doing

my thought sure as soon as car ,alcohol and tool well for that matter any company their product is misused to harm some one face the same punishment way more people are killed , injured familys destroyed cost to the insurance tied to alcohol

there are laws suppose to stop the suits but the left is ignoring it as any other right we have

if we can save just one life

JMHO they are aware they will loose

but hope to inflect so much cost and court time the Companys just fail from the extreme cost of fighting

    Their insurance company did.

    That's a distinction without a difference!

That DID open the door for 1,000s of frivolous lawsuits to prevail. 🤔☹️

The event is sad, and I'm sorry it happened.

The blame is being placed way incorrectly.

Too many lawyers in World, they have to find some way to make a buck......so file lawsuits and hope someone's insurance pays off as it is cheaper/safer than going to trial .....

I too am saddened by the circumstances in this case......The shooter's father holds some responsibility for his part.

Just read about Mexico suing American gun makers and some dealers in Texas, blaming them for Mexico's crime problems. Probably won't go anywhere but defending against these nuisance suits can bankrupt any business. Bob

Shakespeare's Henry VI, Part 2, Act IV, Scene 2.

"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers".

From what the article says, Buds knowingly sold or transferred the firearm, to an individual that was not allowed to purchase the gun. They transferred the rifle to Red Dot LLC who then finalized the sale to the individual. Both parties knew where the firearm was going and both knew it was an illegal sale. This is just what I read. I don't know the laws out there. I also don't know all the facts, so we will have to see how this plays out in court. Either way, Part of the blame in my eyes, was when Remington folded in their case, and opened the door for all these civil suits. Oakie

That has always been the goal of the anti-gun side.

Step 1: get the PLCAA repealed.

Step 2: file lawsuit after lawsuit and litigate the industry out of business.

Defending against them repealing the PLCAA is more important than fighting assault weapon bans to put the importance of the PLCAA in to perspective.
