Immaculate Reception - Wikipedia
The Immaculate Reception is one of the most famous plays in the history of American football. It occurred in the AFC divisional playoff game of the National Football League (NFL), between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on December 23, 1972.
Rest in peace, Big guy.

There is a memorial for that play in Pittsburgh. Those Yankees take sports seriously.
There is a huge bronze statue in that city for Dick Mazeroski.

A friend met him in a bar in Western Pennsylvania in the 80's. He said the same. A humble and low key guy.

Great running back and from accounts an upstanding individual. Watched him most every Sunday. Growing up I remember watching the immaculate reception live when it happened. To say I was over joyed would be an understatement. Great player on a great team. RIP Franco.
