Montanajoe, if your down to 44° below zero I’m putting you in for the tuff man award. I’ve seen it get down to 20° below here in west central Illinois, just can’t imagine 44° below Brrrrr. Just makes one wonder how animals make it through the winter in this kind of weather.

There are several local social platforms through FB, Ask Bozeman, Secret Bozeman, ect. You would not believe the questions being asked regarding winter conditions. I understand they haven't experienced this before but yet they show no common sense. Then when they get a straight answer they come back with no you're wrong, back home......

Very, very strange here. It's 9:40pm. 40° and they are forcasting -3 to -5° for us tonight. (?)
Gonna be a radical change quickly, I guess.
Going to set the alarm to get up several times overnight, to see when I need to start running the faucets. If my pipes freeze, I am screwed. (Due to what they are made of [PVC] and lack of accessibility.)

Got up to 65 today and going to be 51 tomorrow. Low drops to 13 at night . Next 6 days lows at night in teens and twenties . Then back to daytime highs in the 60s with 79 on new years eve. Eastern nc .

You'd be surprised how warm your crawl space is. Buy a thermometer with a remote reader and place it down there. That way you can keep track of it, and not loose any unnecessary sleep.
