What Did You Buy Yourself For Christmas?

Raided my cash stash and paid off my mortgage three months earlier than planned.

Been payin' $500-$600 a month extra for so long I've forgotten what it's like to have a nice pad in my disposable funds. Soooo, Christmas for me is going to be a new pair of glasses. Still see fairly well with these ones, but 20+ years has put a lot of scratches and scuffs on them.

Congrats, there is something very satisfying about no longer having any debt.

    You got that, brother.

Hopefully this time next year I'll be paying cash for a lot nicer pickup. Not lookin' for the newest or bestest, just one that doesn't look like a demo derby survivor.

I hear you about no debt. I worked at a very successful Outdoor Co. as a Mngr. for about 23 years. Left my Profit share there until 2008/2009, then took a $58k hit when the Economy tanked. Cashed out. Took another $54k Tax Hit. (But) When I moved out of the N.E. area back down to NC/TN, paid Cash for my house. Worked out a really good deal on it before I moved down. It was Paid For, before I ever set foot in it. VERY Satisfying. 😁

    Only way to live.

I picked up a small Massey Fergusson tractor with a belly mower & a front loader. Best part is that it didn't cost any actual $$$. I traded in my older Case backhoe, which didn't owe me anything. This and my small track hoe will do what I want.

After loosening a kidney in march of this year I decided I was going to rob the cookie jar and I got a pulsar thermal scope and monocular for hog hunting. That was and is my birthday and Christmas present to my self.

I thought you got a mail order bride from Australia?

She was not mail order, she was made for me to my order! Details about the wedding will follow as soon as I can find her number and have her return my call.
