WWII German pistols
Is there a way to find out who was issued the Nazi pistol my father sent home from the war? in other words, do records exist of who was issued which gun by serial number? My father was attached to the 305th as a Captain during the war and commanded a group of trucks that delivered food and ammo to the front lines and sometimes returned with prisoners of war. He opened two concentration camps in Germany while heading south to the bulge, and I think my Sauer and Sohn 38H .32 (Serial 270318) may have been issued to the officer who was in charge of one of those two camps. Any ideas of how I could verify this?

you are looking for a VERY small needle in a very large hay stack..........short answer is no, no sutch records survived the war.

There is no needle in the haystack, but you have a nice pistol.
