close as I have come my wife had some family that lived there but we never visited as they always came up to Ohio and since they all have passed on I doubt if I go

Forgemonkey, I live about 40 miles from Bucksnort, TN, and have been through there hundreds of times. Its claim to fame is a trout farm where you can order your fish or catch your own - popular for kids. The name always reminded me of an old cartoon. Two hunters sneaking through the woods with an outhouse out of sight nearby in the underbrush. One holding his hand up and whispering, "I think I just heard a buck snort."
