  I had to have a toolbox meeting every morning before work when I was Electrical supervisor. At first I tried to make it interesting and pertinent to what we did. I saw the guys eating their biscuit, looking at their watch, or otherwise distracted.

  After a while , I'd just print something off and read it so they could go on about their day.
