  Remington had both a LT and a LW and if I remember correctly they do not interchange. I vaguely remember trying this one time when I thought I had lost a barrel and I was trying the different one, LT to LW or vice versa. If I remember correctly it was the barrel extension that goes into the receiver that was different. I very well could be wrong about the extension but I do believe Mr. Stark is correct.

  There were 3 different REMINGTON 1100 20 GUAGE SHOTGUNS, 1100 STANDARD, 1" Diameter magazine tube, 1100 LW 7/8" DIAMETER MAGAZINE TUBE & SHORT BARREL EXTENSON, 1100 LT 20 7/8 MAGAZINE TUBE & LONG BARREL EXTENSION. None are interchangeable.
