Some guys have the same problem writing descriptions as the cooks have doing recipes....whew!
I tell you what.....
Looking around at gun descriptions can be pretty frustrating.
You know the "nitty gritty" is in there somewhere....but you have to dig in to find it.
It reminds me of the recipes that make you give up before you ever try to cook something.
You'll see this amazing picture of a dish and think "that doesn't look like it would be difficult" so you click on the link....just to be forced into reading about a bike ride in Tuscany where they met a woman selling tomatoes and how the butter they like to use is farm to table where they shop for asparagus every Tuesday morning a mile from their home. I want to slap these people.
Having the entire history of a gun in a description is ok....but they should put that in a seperate area where you can read it if you want to. They should get the facts out there so you can read it over......and if you want to keep reading the next five paragraphs about history you can.

Agree 110% Kasey. Then there are the people who put down all of the sales terms, payment options, bla bla bla, and never even describe the gun, or just tell you too look at the pictures.

My Payment terms are at the top. To many guys bid & win then ask if I take CC-Which I don't take any longer.
I'll make special note that I do not clean-fire nor inspect other than a quick wipe and patch down the bore.
Sometimes I forget a detail.
Most of the firearms I list are consignment for a few older guys. They write the description & I'll add a note if something stands out good or bad.
Shipping cost is another deal. Guys telling me how much it should cost never think about the cost of a box if I don't have a good used one here. Tape-packing-time & travel to drop off if needed.
Very Rare LOL yea and their are 200 listed-
Cooking, I go to the hard back books

The local auctions are even worse. The heading is sometimes wrong, no description, they only show one photo & you have to guess.

I aways first look very closely at all the pictures and then, if I like what I have seen, will take the time for the description.
Probably learned this early in life from sneaking old Playboy's from an older brothers bottom dresser drawer.😁

Many years ago antique dealers learn a lesson on very rare
Living in state _____< fill in the blank it may have been. Xtreemly rare widget only seen 3 their career so rare
The internet come along all of sudden sure its rare as they have thee in three in ther state or area all a suden on line several more states that widget is so common their used as door stops extreme example However You get the idea
Even the "experts" had to rethink values
And agree use photos and read several times the description

I think factory boxes are safest here than anywhere else......lose one and you'll become somewhat focused on them! 😂

I hate it when you go to the supposed description of a firearm and it's just two pages of the sellers policies, demands and veiled threats if you don't strictly adhere to their rules.
