Anybody remember Starshot?
I was asked the other day if I had been watching the Soccer tournaments and I replied that it was as interesting as watching paint dry, so no I wasn't watching it. This led to a discussion of boring sports to watch, like golf and bowling.
This made me remember the short lived Celebrity Starshot on ESPN from I think back in the early 90's. I remember celebs like Robert Stack and others competing and it looked like a lot of fun. It must of been one of those boring shows for most, like soccer is to me, because it didn't last long. I couldn't even find a video of the American version so had to link a British one. The competition resembles darts with a shotgun. I have shot a lot of different shotgun games but always wanted to try this one, but alas it never happened. Bob

Golf isn't boring if you are a golfer. Nearly every shot, I wonder to myself, "How in the living hell did he DO that?"

I remember the first time I watched "Curling" and had thoughts that there must be some betting going on. People will bet on anything and everything. Watching paint dry IMO is more entertaining than curling!

I went up to Prince Edward Island, Canada one December. We went to a curling match. I never had heard of it, but it is a big sport for those Canucks. It was pretty interesting, we stayed for over an hour. Probably 300 fans there in the curling arena.
Then one day I saw some curling on tv, damn that was boring! Much better live.

I remember that show. It sucked.😉🤣 Now, having said that , try golfing once and see how hard and frustrating it really is. Also very addictive. I actually love watching it on tv, but then again, I rode a Honda for many years🤣.

Yuuppp... Just like soccer, golf, shooting sports and some other sporting events. Even football and baseball are different in person, although you do see the games better on television than in the stands. Bob
