So what's the answer???? Inquiring minds want to know. The suspense is killing me! My guess is that it depends on the year made but sometimes Remington seemed to change things at random for no discernable reason. Bob

    My 2 cents

The LW barrel will not work on the standard 20 ga the standard 20 was built around a large frame 12 ga receiver The LW has its own smaller receiver

As my understanding from over the years

I am no way a expert and never tried it personally.

    I never owned a standard frame 20 ga .

I know from selling them on a different well known auctiin site. over the years also the LW Barrels normally sel for more

I do have a LW 20 in 1100 and 870 models . Both are very popular

I always forget which is which, but a look at those barrels will show you one has a long tang into the receiver and the other, a short (significantly shorter) tang.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a difference between a LW and LT, and barrels will not interchange with each other or standard.

The ejectors on the LT & LW are really different...The LW ejector is attached to the left side of the receiver( similar to the 870)..The LT ejector is located on the barrel tang (just like the 12 Ga.).....

    Got it.

I mainly wanted to make sure I was describing my shotgun accurately.

    Thanks!
