The thing is, and what you guys know but don't seem to want to admit, is you're in the minority now.
There are more people in this country who empathize with and care about the basketball player than any veteran. These are the people who elected Biden, Fetterman, et al. And they're proud of it.
All the companies coming out as woke? It's not just about their ESG score. They're courting their piece of the new majority. Transgenders are the heroes now. Everybody wants their children to be one. Apparently.
I don't know what the next move is. But I don't think denial is part of it. We're on the poop end of this stick, boys.
I think I'm gonna go watch some 70's TV reruns.

My head is going to explode trying to visualize how this deal would make sense to any sane person (well there it is ... sane).

I'm not saying or implying that he should be in a Russian jail or is guilty of espionage. I believe we should try to get him back to the states. I do believe everyone should have all of the facts before he is made out to be a martyr. Russia got their slimeball back, now he is off the table.

This is what the mindless right does. A disgraced marine is not an Ex-Marine. He earned his bad conduct discharge.
We are all familiar with Griner's history regarding the US Flag. We don't bother to find out that Whelan spit on it when he was a Marine Reserve Sargent.
Of course, the mindless left sets her up as a 'falsely convicted' person when in fact she is an idiot who knowingly broke Russian law and got caught.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over either of them spending time in prison. It would be nice to get them both home, but I guess one is better than none. As for the trade, it is hard to imagine the returning Bout is going to increase the security threat to Americans anywhere in the world. Are we sure there was no one else in the world selling getting arms to terrorists over the past 10 years?

What pisses me off the most is that we preach the second amendment-me included, but when it comes to the first amendment there is discourse and hatred when some utilize their right to free speech and their right to demonstrate peacefully. None of us here would dare to kneel during our national anthem or in front of our flag, but it is every American's right to do so. It is enshrined in the 1st amendment to our Constitution, the same as the right to keep and bear arms is enshrined in the second amendment. We can't have it both ways. Me, I'll lead by example.
