I believe that you have a reproduction M1907 sling for the M1 rifle.

Your sling is an "M1" sling. Given that designation, no big surprise that it was used on the M1 rifle starting late in WWII as substitute standard to the 1907 sling. Per the Brophy book, The Springfield 1903 Rifles, the 1907 sling is a 2-piece leather sling with hooks and keepers. It was standard issue in WWI and WWII. It is now commonly called a "military" sling.

I forgot to mention: I don't believe Winchester ever got into sling manufacturing for the military. That W marking is most likely from a sub-contractor.

I agree that you have a reproduction M1 sling, as the originals had an indentation or large punch mark on the end tab. But the value on the sling is around $20.
