Surely it has to be Global Warming. Not the lack of predators, plenty of shelter, and huge amounts of food available.. Has to be a slight temp increase.

Historically, over there in Europe, hunting was strictly reserved for the upper crusties of society. Regular folk were not only forbidden but were prosecuted if caught trying to feed their families.
Now days with just about every Euro country forbidden to own firearms, or at best very restrictive, those wild hogs do what wild hogs do which is reproduce quite well without any natural enemies to cull them down to manageable populations. All of this blame crap going on about global warming and climate change is pure liberal hog wash!!

My ancestors, the Celts of Wales and Ireland, hunted wild boars, and made a big deal of having a wild party where they roasted the pig. The wild hogs have been around Europe for thousands of years, I suspect Brookwood is right, guns are hard to get in Europe these days and the hogs are breeding as usual.
