Another beautiful option would be South Lake Tahoe. Right on the state line border. (CA-NV) See lake Tahoe, Ski-ing, Casinos, the ponderosa ranch.

I used to live just down the mountain from Lake Tahoe between Reno and Incline Village. You will not find a prettier place. Tahoe, Truckee, Reno, Carson City is a beautiful area with a lot of history.

We are going to get started with the plans in March. We have several people that are "on the fence" about going. I'm hoping some of them will get past tax season and be able to plan for the trip. My thoughts are that it will be just Larry and one of our daughters in our group....but we have a cousin, Aunt and her son, two couples that are friends that WANT to come, but can't say for sure yet. So, its either three of us or could be as many as a dozen. Either way I'm SUPER EXCITED to get going on the plans.

Yes. Seems some of it does almost yearly. Pretty portion did this last year. But hey, in the winter with everything dormant and covered in snow, how will you know???
