In the top right of the page there is an envelope, click on that.

Holy Cow! All the years I've been on here and I never realized you could get messages. I guess nobody ever mentioned the little envelope before. I see there is also a little bell with the 179 number beside it. I am afraid to click on it or I may be logging off permanently or agreeing to buy auto warranty insurance or something.

The little bell alerts you that someone commented on one of your threads, or mentioned you within a thread. The 179 is number of times you have been mentioned. @kannoneer
