    Well, that brings a tear to my eye. P-38 a little more buffed out on the rear of the slide. Luger looks like a "nice" nickel job as does the P-38. Waffen stamps seem to be in good shape, a plus. Don't think anywhere near 2900, it would be a total guess, maybe 2k for the pair. GOOD on you to help out somebody with these.

    Yeah the 2900 seemed like one of those ads listed that never actually sell. Not a lot of good bench marks for the nickle plated pistols and I want the guys widow to get a fair price.

    Well, the plain sad truth is the nickel pretty much destroyed any collector value. They are now considered "shooters" and will be judged mainly on the mechanical condition. Good luck to you and your friends.

    Nice pictures. To find the true value, find a reputable GunBroker seller in your are and have them list it on the auction side. They will charge a percentage when it sells.
