    They make about a dozen Escort models, from pumps to regular semi to bullpups. Sometimes semis require a break in period. If you bought it new it could be as simple as the ammo being used, so try a variety and see if you can get it broken in. You could always contact the importer, Hatsan, and see what they say,

    I would disagree on this. I have a 20ga Escort semi, and have shot boatloads of cheap 6-7.5 small game loads through it. Have never had one hiccup with the thing. Flawless.

    I think we need more info to help with Pyrodex's problem.

    Well, depends, working part time at the local shop they sell these and had a few come back in. We tried high brass in the semi autos (12 ga,) from what they were shooting and the firearms worked then. Not high end items so it could be the QA of those itself. Just what I experienced. Try that with yours and am sure I am wrong again with any advise.
