In Christiansburg, VA. I hope they put Dick's out of business.

Nope. Not me. I sell firearms from a cozy little office. An office my buddy built for me attached to his gun shop.

The one we have here is very reasonable price wise and they carry reloading supplies as well. Plus they do not price gouge. Problem is supply and demand; meaning plenty of demand but little supply.
There is aptly named "Dicks" about a couple miles away which survives by selling clothes.

There is one in a nearby city from me. Decent selection of firearms, usually an ample supply of ammo and accessories. Prices about what you would expect and they run some pretty good sales from time to time...The good news around here is they have given Bass Pro a run for the money and caused them to offer some better deals also...

Bass Pro/Cabelas sells Walmart quality product at boutique store prices. I don't see them lasting.

It’s really sad too. Before Bass Pro bought Cabela’s they used to have great prices and selections. Not so much anymore.

Exactly. I was not a Bass Pro customer so can't speak to what happened in their stores, but they ruined Cabelas. I don't even like shopping there any more, and have tried to tell my kids/family that I don't want gift cards for chirstmas/birthdays from there any more.

No problem DR. I ran gun shops/ranges for over twenty years and truth be told, I do not miss it. Being alone with my desk, my computer, and a couple of gun safes is sweet. Oh, and my coffee pot and bathroom are important parts of my Shangri-la. I usually have customers dropping off guns several times a week, and if I get lonely, there is a gunsmith shop and a gun shop just down the hall. Life is very good. Sometimes I actually have trouble finding something to complain about.
