Undocumented shooting range in Louisville

Someone in Louisville should teach these gang members to shoot. It sounds like a thing that happened long ago in an African country where some bad boys opened up on a bus, a full-size bus and not too far away either, with their G3's. There were hundreds of 7.62x51 cases left behind. The bus? It was just fine with no more holes than it started with.

Sadly this city has really dropped. Very liberal mayor and a very liberal prosecutor. The criminal know the criminal justice system is a revolving door.

The below was posted in Louisville. How would they determine that 40 different firearms were used? Are there 40 different calibers?

"LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Louisville apartment complex finds itself in the middle of one of the biggest shootouts the city has recently seen, with more than 600 casings found by LMPD, sources told WAVE News Troubleshooters.

They believe more than 40 different types of firearms were used. Sources added it’s a miracle no one was killed or seriously hurt."

40x15 equals 600. Bangers usually don't carry a backup mag so they just divided it out.

Forensic science can absolutely identify 40 separate firearms from the casings left behind, "40 different firearms" doesn't mean 40 different calibers.

Can they identify them from the strike of the firing pin?

Should look for a sign saying, "This event sponsored by SAAMI!" 😆

They won't always be shooting at one another.

It's unlikely they spent the time to do that and just estimated, like the article says. Probably using some math like @shootuadeal postulated.
