Put it on "for sale" sites, list as "boxes only". Interested buyers will respond accordingly.

mods, please delete if I have made a no no..

Put an ad in newspaper if you have a local one like me and meet at a neutral sight for the deal. Can't believe that the gunshop wouldn't buy it but.

maybe the gun shop is worried about liability possible reloads not knowing the history and so on

my nephew i was told was selling his thru consignment at a local gun shop a couple yrs back not sure of the details my son was telling me about it . the nephew was buying it as cheap as possible then during the panic was having the place sell it .

maybe another gun shop or even fle market may provide such a out let

we have a local classified /trade paper that's free about every where thy can get room for a stand . I will wager your area has one or two similar list it there

and I have not ever looked and dont even use FB but I have been told FB has a market place and sellers use creative description's to get around the censors?

just word of mouth fellow local shooters may be interested

Find a local range and put a WTS or WTT ad on their bulletin board if they have one. Where are you located at?

Try another gun shop. Expect 50% of current value. Or try posting at a Sportsmans club. When the word gets out you won't have any trouble selling.

If you sell them here, post a link to your auction.

If you sell them here without listing on the auction side, that's what gets you in trouble.

Yeah, liability was the exact phrase they used. I'll see if I can find a local classified paper. Thank you!

its really not enough to go to a lot of trouble over even though it has value

just post on a local white board ? most all small stores around us have a board just inside the door for adds from local people

That was my original idea, but I didn't see how to make the auction local only. Really don't think it's enough to go through the hassle/cost of shipping.

shipping would be at least or not more than the value of what you would get is the sad part of shipping any think now days

There have been many auctions that are local pick up only. Just clearly state it in your description.

My, my, but this sounds like a wonderful opportunity for that time honored General Discussion tradition called a 'Giveaway'...

Kiddin', good luck with your sale!

Tell us what .45 you traded off for a 9mm?

  • okxd45

I just did that with some holsters on XDtalk lol.

Traded my SA XD-45 Compact to a much smaller SA XD-S 9MM. I'm one of those weirdo one handgun guys, and I've been wanting something smaller for CC. I mostly carried the .45 in a Wilderness Safepacker for years, and I'm looking forward to actually having the gun on my person instead!

Do you have any state gun web sites? We have one in our state it is like GB and many people post guns and ammo for sale.

Yup; my insurance company says I have to have an invoice for every round I buy.
