Got a DNA kit for Christmas
For Kimber, our dog. We know she is GS, have no idea what else. As a rescue from the reservation at Wolfpoint it's going to be interesting to see the result. Wife and I said the results are going to partly show she's made up of cheddar cheese. The kit we were gifted is pretty impressive overall, along with the companies on line registration. Got about another week wait to get results.

I think DNA is the biggest, most helpful discovery of my lifetime.
Computers rank right up there, of course, because without computers DNA could not be analyzed. I guess I will call it a tie between those two.

what happens if the DNA results, show that the dog is your distant cousin???🤣.
Seriously, I got to get me one of those kits. We have a rescue that is supposed to be a Chihuahua, but I think it might be a mixed breed. She does bark at everything though. My little snuggle bug.

This one:
...is allegedly 85% Great Pyrenees, 10% Labrador Retriever, and 5% Whippet.
The only thing Great Pyrenees about this dog is his white fur and his casual attitude toward instructions and commands. I would call him a white-coated Golden Retriever.

I received one of those Ancestry.com kits a few years ago. I’m adopted and never knew my birth mother. Fast forward a bit and my birth mother’s sister contacted me as she was on that website. I’ve gotten to know a whole new family.

Years ago, way before any of this DNA testing, I used to tease an old friend about his dog. Friend claimed that ole "Poocheye" was a cross between a Pekinese and a German Shepard.
Pretty sure he was spot on with his dogs makeup as Poocheye looked like a Shepard with the shortest legs I've ever seen on a dog. My teasing had something to do with just how those two breeds were able to mate. Buddy would always just say, "Where there is a will, there is a way!" 🙂

I had a little cocker type dog and my neighbor had a rottweiler. He complained to me about my dog getting his dog pregnant. I told him I did see my dog headed over that way with a bucket in his mouth! Don
