My car radio automatically gets louder when it rains...or its dark...or there's traffic...or my wife braces herself thinking her arm strength will keep her from hitting the dashboard if we crash.

The last time someone turned the radio on in my work pickup, dust came out of the speakers. I don't even try to listen to radio anymore.
