Well if he wasn't such a RINO maybe things would have went better for him.......

I hope he loses and is forced to back Jim Jordan. If Jordan is speaker you can count on two very interesting years to follow.

It is about time one of the major parties had a group that stands up to the establishment and puts them on notice that business as usual will no longer be tolerated.

A little push from the Freedom Caucus will do the GOP a world of good.

They are not in lock step with each other like the Democrats.

I don't know if that's bad or good.

The GOP is at least somewhat like what the founding fathers intended when they wrote the Constitution. Each GOP Congress person is at least somewhat entitled to have an individual opinion, that hopefully represents the major opinion of the citizens he/she represents. The Democrats all just think as one, following the instructions handed down to them by their party leaders.

One other note, dont fall for the media and DEMOCRAT party theatrics and thinking we have a real crisis within the new congress when we dont. Its government working as it should.

The media and DEMOCRATs despise the thought of GOP control of the lower chamber and fear what's coming.

The wise among us will remember we went thru a similar period not long ago when Pelosi was set to take the gavel, the major difference is all we heard was crickets' chirping.

I think it would be better if all the (R) party members have their name put into a hat and one gets pulled for Speaker. Of Course the (D) party would figure out a way to cheat and it would be a (D) name that gets pulled from the hat.

It is time they get together and do what the people elected them to do.

Honestly, I think We the People are better off when there is almost complete gridlock in D.C.

When they 'do' things, We the People get shafted.

Gonna be a sad day if the idiots elect a D, and that is VERY possible in this day and age🤮

    6 ballots later, same results.

    Taking a break until 8pm, they're tired.

The fact K Mac hasn't just stepped aside at this point tells you how much power he (and the position he seeks) has.

An unfortunate turn of events, IMO.

I think you nailed it. It is sad when we are better off when the gridlock renders our glorious leaders harmless. Of course this won't go on much longer because they are afraid more folks will realize that fact and vote accordingly. Bob

Whomever wins, I hope they tear up their copy of Biden's State of the Union speech.

We have a new Speaker of the House, but it wasn't pretty.

Kevin McCarthy is in. 216 to 212 of 428 voting.
