Back surgery tomorrow morning at 0600.
*** Home now, I'm told it went well but I won't know for days (until the meds wear off). 😀
Hospital surgical staff was fantastic which really made a difference in my nerves. Doing good but you sure know when the pain pills wear off, hurts a bit.
Have to stay in bed for four days then I can start getting into trouble again. :-)
Thanks again to all for your support and prayers ..................... means a lot.

There wre definitely a couple that were pinchable but mama bear has sharp eyes and I wouldn't know what to do with it anyway. :-)

It's been my experience that the hard drugs will plug up your back passage. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, so I would cut the pills in half to take the edge off.

Yeah, I also have a high pain threshold from all the Years of living with the constant pain but my doctor said that he doesn't want me to push through it, wants me relaxed (and loopy evidently) .. .. Mission accomplished ...
Also on muscle relaxer, hope the house Doesn't catch fire cause I sure wouldn't be able to run out of here. :-)
And yes, stool softeners are your best friend when on pain meds as they put tha brakes on in that department.

Stool softeners - 40+ years ago when I first screwed up my back, an old crusty doctor prescribed them. In his words, "No pain, no strain, just sit and drain". He is them same doc that gave me a shot in the lower back to give me relief. He said hold on tight to the table, this is going to hurt because this stuff has the consistency of STP and requires a BIG needle! Holy Smokes - he was right!
Glad you are doing better, just don't do too much, too soon or you will be right back where you started. Bob
