    Barrel looks like a 44 date? and receiver if it's six digits like June 41 , can't tell for sure, No help but and I wish the Markster was here to set the record straight.

    Barrel is marked "1-S-A-9-44." Serial number is 284XXX.

    You might want to field strip the rifle, & photograph the small parts & markings. I think Grasshopper nailed the age: it was made around July 1941. The original SA/GHS stock likely was replaced with the one you now have, but I can't see it well enough to tell if it is legitimate. The type 2 or 3 lockbar rear sights might draw some interest from potential buyers.

    It could just be the camera, but the bore looks rusty to me.

    Unable to guess the "value", there are too many new bidders out there today.
