It's really getting difficult to discern when its malfeasance or incompetence, with this administration. They sort of waffle between the two. Some have suggested merely weaponized incompetence. I tend to lean toward malfeasance, personally.

    I don't buy it.

Not so sure I do either. With all of the laws, rules and regulations we have in this country, it is legal to float a balloon at the heights commercial aircraft fly? Bob

Biden is now saying THREE of the balloons were not Chinese, instead most likely private owned or research related.

I especially liked the part where they said they tried to contact the government to tell them about the balloons but nobody would listen.

It's almost guaranteed all of this will inevitably be either Trump, or Bush's fault.

Was reading about this stuff today at lunch.

You just can't make this stuff up.

    (Or) Maybe you can. 🤔

Wag the Dog all over again. This administration is so corrupt that now it's shooting down college engineering projects. They recently said they couldn't find the wreckage of the 2 or 3 others they shot down. Well yeah you blew up a weather balloon with a side winder missile. What do you think is going to be left of it???

In Biden's press conference, he said they didn't know what it was they shot down, only that it wasn't balloons from China's spy program.

I honestly think if a kite gets away from a kid this Spring some branch of our military will shoot it down.

These things were - literally - under the radar until now. Hobby balloon flying will soon be illegal, I predict. Such things really are a hazard to commercial air traffic. It will be regulated in a way similar to drones or amateur rocketry.

Since Brandon totally mishandled the first balloon he is now overcompensating and shooting everything down.

    Look out Humpty

They are only shooting down the assault balloons. Man. those things will tear the lungs right outa you. But we have decided that some of the Chinese balloons are harmless.

But an hour after you shoot them down, you want to shoot another one. Need to keep an eye on the Germans.

A $500,000 missile to shoot down a $1000 balloon. In one case two missiles.

Biden needed a crisis in order to push his incompetent handling of classified documents out of the news. Suddenly, by pure coincidence, the balloon "crisis" happened to appear, literally out of thin air.

Biden's "incompetence," will need more than a balloon "Crisis," to distract.

    Maybe that's just me?
