Fun? You do live a charmed life. All I did was complain about the half time show and cook a bunch of lobster for the family.

Oh joy me and my bad back were crawling unden in and around my pickup truck

Two braklines let go same time a about a week ago one front one rear the joy of having tons of salt dumped by the road crews every winter

I rounded up parts orderd a complete ss pre formed brake lines will change the rest later this year and of courses one more trip to town for a new caliper the bleed screw was detected to nothing . I could have did the drill easy out hope for the best but 27.00 and no fuss easy answer

Changed it all out my son stopped by just in time to run the brake pedal while I slithered on the ground to all the bleed screws

Not a great day but at least it was some what nice ini wated for a decent day n the 50 degree range and even better I am still above ground to whine about it LOL

Will add yes I have a decent size shop to work in but it's packed full and I mean full right now with my projects and hundreds If not thousands of books my son has stored in it for the winter untill I get a garage build I lost in a fire a couple yrs back

    Such is.life

So far I have done my house, carport and two storage buildings twice since Early December. And I need to change oil in my snow blower!

Looks like you need more slope on your roof.

Yep, whoever built it could have put the top up a couple more feet and the lower end could have been a tad bit lower. Still would have had plenty of room inside at the low side and would get a lot more snow coming off.

That mass had been on there quite a while, and I really should have gotten it off sooner, but it just never seemed like conditions were right.

Our furnace took a dump, and the repairman took the motor and fan with him to find replacements yesterday. So I've been up all night feeding the fireplace. I'm ready for a nap now.

    Joe

Finally got the furnace repaired and up and running yesterday. It's been a long smoky week in the house. But we survived.

It sticks on the south side because the sun partially melts the snow. The resulting water runs down underneath the snow, and then freezes again at night.

I managed to clean the downstairs bathroom yesterday (much overdue) and trudge through the snow to hang a new suet feeder for the birds. The mopping and the trudging did a number on my back. Hurting today.

I have a haircut scheduled today and then have to go pick up some prescriptos. The drive and the walk won't help.

Back surgery set for Friday. Finally.

Good thing I got up there yesterday! We've gotten 2" more snow in the last hour and it looks like we'll get a bit more according to the weather weenies.

Warbirds, if your kids still want to see snow send 'em up here. I've got plenty of snow shovels to go around!

You should look into a snow slide, or a snow roof rake with wheels. I got a wheeled rake, and now it looks like I don't need to mess with the heat cable.

Snow on a metal roof, how did you keep from slipping?? When I was a kid we use to go sledding down hills on old car hoods, wonder we weren’t all killed.

As for fun yesterday I done my taxes. Now today I’m sitting around waiting for my $200 tax return. LOL.

I've got a snow slide now. The problem was that all of this got built up before I had it! Now I just need to get out and use it when the snow starts gettin' deep again.

You folks gettin' snowed on down there?

If you look close you'll see a blue rope strung across about knee level. I braced against that and had my rapelling harness clipped around it in case I went down. The rubber boots I was wearing had pretty good soles and I really didn't slip that much once I was down to bare metal.

Had lunch at Riverbend in Mammoth Springs Arkansas. Was a balmy 65 degrees. We sat out on the deck and ate while we flipped fries and fried green beans to the beggar.

Got one now! The problem is that you have to get the snow before it goes through a thaw and refreeze cycle. once it gets any weight to it at all those peelers become an exercise in frustration. They're great in fluffy snow, though.

Installed a new HVAC system in a tire store today too. LOL. Two new ten ton rooftop systems. We then had lunch on the beach. 65 degrees here today. 70 tomorrow.

Put 20rds of 30-30 through my Winchester 94 this afternoon. I think the last time I shot this rifle was around 2008. Been re-watching Longmire.

I think tomorrow I'll shoot a few through my Winchester model 97. A friend just cut down the barrel for me. It still needs a bead sight added, or does it?

And a pic of Galil. This started it's life as a pistol with bad headspacing. Same friend that cut the Winchester for me installed a 16 inch barrel on it.
