Glocks - all flavors
So how many of you make changes to your factory Glocks? How many, like me, order the new parts when ordering the Glock. Or do you just keep it factory stock - and why?
Ever since my first Glock 17 I have always changed the trigger out for a quality aftermarket like a Pyramid, Zev or most recently Timney before firing the pistol for the first time.
Depending on the need - I'll make other changes.

In the 80's it was "9mm or .45, which is best?". All instigated by the industry to sell more of their product. Mostly I just sit back and shake my head,

That's actually not bad. Not crazy about the stippling, but it would be workable. Thanks for the link.
I'm not crazy about stippling in general, but I thought what was done on this gun was at least done well and not completely unpleasant to look at.

I only have one Glock. A Gen 3 G32. It’s bone stock. I do want to add some XS Big Dot sights. That’s about it. Whenever I see someone on various forums or social media or YouTube complain about their Glock not working it’s usually because they monkied around with the internals. “Perfection” is great marketing by Glock but they’re hardly the most perfect handgun for me.

I like a Glock..but if you run out of ammo and have to pistol whip someone..be prepared to get your a$$ beat...

I own a dozen and have changed every one as far as triggers, sights, etc. They are less ugly and for me shoot better that way. I can't say I like them but you have to own some before you have the "right" to comment.

Why yes I have, was just as ugly as the previous generations and didn't work any better just cost more....

My experience was a little different. I had a Gen 3 Glock 19 for almost 20 years. It was mainly my house gun but I shot it often. I purchased a Gen 5 and thought the trigger was better and the grip was much better without the finger grooves. Still not pretty like my 1911's, but a useful tool never the less.....

I handled several Glokes back in the 80's. All of the stocks were so large they were really uncomfortable for me to hold, much less shoot. I passed and never looked back. I do have some tupperwear guns, just not Glokes.

That's kinda sad to think that all of your firearms are bone stock, nothing added, not even a scope.

I took the implication to be if you had a glock there would be repairs. Sound wisdom.

With TN Being a Constitutional Carry State (👍) I see more and more people carrying. Being a "Gun Guy," I'm always looking at what people are carrying. Was working at the Grocery store the other day and was noticing a guy near me open carrying. We exchanged pleasantries and I asked him "17 or a 19?" He said "Most people have no idea. This is made by Shadow Systems and is based on the 19."
Told him "Nice rig. I'm familiar with them. Wish I could carry here at work." Told him " I've been told by multiple people here that they would feel more comfortable with someone armed in the store that knows how to shoot." He replied, "Yeah it's too bad." My reply, "What are you supposed to do? Hide and throw Hot dogs at them?" I was in the process of stocking some and that was what I had in my hands.
We both just laughed. Wished each other a Nice Day.
