way back in my life I worked with a "Jodie" he told me he lost track of the times the fellows in Nam would call home to their wife or Gf while he was in "close combat action with the gal " and she would just talk like every ting was just great to her loved one he said he did feel sorry for the GI on the other end of the line later on in life but at the time nope he had a lot more details but I will leave it there 😲
as for home comings it has to be a great feeling for all knowing your home and also knowing your loved one is alive and safe with you sad so many never get to have such a experience
