Years ago didn't matter the temp when it was deer season i was up and at them . Ladder stands and ground setups. Now it is enclosed ground blinds and elevated enclosed box stands. All with a Mr buddy propane heater .

Now you are just showing off, that with age comes wisdom!

I now hunt the same way and don't know how I survived in the elements all those years. Bob

Bobjudy , one if my hunt areas could only be accessed by walking about 1/4 mile thru a swamp . It was one of the most productive areas i hunted. Got in the stand many mornings with my pants legs frozen solid . No way now ! And yes , with experience or age , comes wisdom

That is some tough going just to get in there pulsarnc. Then you have to consider having to drag that big buck back out.

There are truly many advantages to being YOUNG! Wisdom for me is knowing my limitations and not being stupid by pushing that envelope to close to the edges!

My brother is in Wyoming and training for a 100 mile run. Sends me videos of runs in the mountains in the winter. It looks amazing.

I just don't see why people run when there are cars.

Brookwood , during the time i hunted that area i was also a roughneck on a well drilling rig . No problem then to drag one out . Now it would be impossible !
