I am not from SC but if I remember correctly she came out with some industrial stupid anti-gun proposals a few years back. those statements by her has left me with no choice but to ignore her.

I'm not from SC either, but I was under the impression she was pro gun. Perhaps some of our forum members could chime in and clear it up for me.

If in fact she isn't anti-gun I think she would make a decent V.P. running mate for DeSantis. She has both experience as governor and foreign policy experience as U.N. ambassador. She also checks a few boxes for the swing voters who care about those things like being a female and a minority. Certainly would be an order of magnitude improvement over cackling Kammie. Bob

Moderators, thanks for the move. Us old timers are going to make mistakes.

Its true Nikki has some experience and is smart and ambitious. Maybe too ambitious if that is possible. I think maybe she made some enemies ordering down the SC battle flag.

Been thinking about Kristi Noem of SD as a running mate for DeSantis. --------Ray

If my memory is correct, after the Charleston shooting she stood firmly for the 2A and refused to support any new gun laws; this was despite extreme pressure from DEMOCRATs and hate filled national media. She is an admitted CC holder and supporter.

I believe she supports the 2a, however know little of her on other issues such as taxes, border, and energy,

Quite by accident was flipping channels and landed on Nikki's speech tonight. She is a shaker/mover and appears to be a true Optimists. I was impressed. --------------Ray

The Democrats are very happy she's running because she will be pulling votes away from Trump.. get ready for another Democrat President...

It's true, she may be a good President.

Then, again, she may be the Anticrist.

Voted for Trump twice. Fought in the trenches against the NY Safe (unsafe) Act of 2013. Trump was there but I want to move on now. Too soon to make up my mind. Nikki just might be able to pull it off. She is tired of Status Quo in DC. I think we are all tired of Status Quo.

The folks in Europe loved Obummer. Maybe he and his ilk are pulling the strings now. Maybe he is the Anticrist? I tell you making the right choice is not easy but I will vote come Hell or High Water. -------------------------------------Ray

From all the panic I saw yesterday from the dems, I think they see her as a real threat. Like Ray, I voted for Trump twice but I hope he doesn't let his ego force him to split the republican party and thus the votes. He did a pretty good job as POTUS but his time has passed and he isn't electable, so he should throw what support he has behind a viable candidate.

I wish the voters would look at the candidates like it was a job interview and base their choice on qualifications instead of making it a popularity contest. In spite of all the stolen election theories, geriatric Joe got elected only because he seemed likable to a lot of voters, unlike trump who appeared to be brash and egotistical. Qualifications didn't enter into the equation. Bob

I don't think there's been a truly fair and free election since the advent of computerized voting. That was made abundantly clear with demonstrations showing how easy it was to manipulate the counts via the software going all the way back to the 2000 election. The 2020 election was worse with all the drop boxes, ballot harvesting, mail in voting and so on all thanks to the manufactured covid crap.

Nikki is a wishy washy swamp dweller who couldn't win one single electoral vote, nor should she.

It looks like the Republican party voters have became just like the Democrats.. they would vote for a glass of water if it had an R on it..

I agree with what you said except that with inflation at 40 year highs and we could not flip more seats in the mid terms I have to admit I am not optimistic that with the current younger voters that we can elect a Republican.

They all claim to be tired of the status quo, they just never seem to do anything about it.

The Republicans are just trying to match the democrats to see who has the most diversity

  • Butchdog2

    Screw the diversity.

Put the most qualified person for the job in the position.

I don't think it matters anymore, the damage is done, and I fear it's fatal. They all say it's the most important election of our lifetime, they all say they're tired of the status quo, they all claim to be the one who'll get the job done and to date only Trump made an attempt and look at the resistance he faced.

She quickly jumped on the nonsensical bandwagon to remove the Confederate flag from displays. She's also fine with men using women's restrooms, as just two examples.

Nikki Haley is playing the game I would call it that 99% of politicians play. She says she will do this and that, but gives no plan as to how she will do it. Where as Trump said I’ll fix the boarder, but told people how he would do it, we’ll build a wall!! He not only just said, “ I’ll bring jobs back home” , but told how he would do it, CUT corporate tax, and he did it. I could go on about how he delivered on cutting trade deficits.

I’m looking for someone that has a plan and will tell us how it will work, and is willing to walk away from a deal with foreign countries.

My prediction, Haley won’t find the money to stay in, and if Trump stays in, he’ll hint at having maybe having Haley as his VP. Long way off until the primaries.

I don't want to give up, but I honestly see no way out of the hole the politicians have dug. The debt issues alone are going to sink the ship. So, I don't see how another career politician dancing on the fringes is going to do or change anything.

Ok, did a little research. Nikki ordered the flag down but did not have a problem with it flying on your private property. Interesting to note that DJT agreed about Statehouse flag coming down but was really pissed about NASCAR taking away the Flag. Note: am not endorsing anyone just what research tells me. ------------------------Ray

It would take someone who really knows how to handle money and not worry about padding their own bank account.. someone who can't be bought and puts America first could maybe.. maybe save this country... wonder who that is..??
