I wore a pair when I had a sciatica flareup, and could not stand to wear a belt. They were great!

Yes! I wear suspenders. The clip on types. The secret to keeping them fastened is to clip them to the thick part of the pants at the belt loops. The extra material with the loop included holds a lot better for me anyway. I gave up on belts after my last lower back surgery where the surgeon bolted a titanium bracket in to more or less fuse the 3 lowest vertebrate together.

I still do have a few mishaps where I rub against something, like getting into the car where I snag one of the clips on the seat and it pops off. It becomes a bit of a workout for my shoulder trying to reclip the darn thing! 😕

All of my Amish neighbors wear the old fashioned button type suspenders with their homemade pants.

I’ve worne them for years, in the blacksmith shop (heavy duty wide) and with dress ones prior to retirement.

After my neck re-section the muscle on top of my shoulder needs serious therapy to alleviate pain when wearing them.

I have no ‘derriere’ so it’s pull up my pants every three steps or suffer the pain of wearing them.

Maybe just try a smaller waist size in pants... I've lost some weight the last couple of years and had to do that, I have belts and tried suspenders before, but having the correct size is easier for me.

I love the idea and look of them, but can't really wear them very easily due to the shape of my traps/shoulders. They just fall off and even when I can get them to stay up it causes me neck pain.

did for the best part of a year after hip surgery, seems belt made my pants rub the incision area and suspenders didn't.....

Bib overalls work well too and you can put on your best hillbilly accent for laughs!

Love them. My favorite has clips that slide through belt loops so they can be used with almost any pants.

See a lot of guys at the Tulsa show that wear suspenders and a belt. I have, but don't much like them. Hard to put a holster on 'em too.

Only wear 'spenders' when it's cold enough to need an outer pair of Carhart overalls.

I wear the Perry type suspenders.

I can carry 20 lbs of gear in my 6 pocket pants pockets, leatherman on one hip and skinning knife on other hip during hunting season and not have to use my hands to hold up my pants.

I do not have to PUT ON any hillbilly accent, it comes naturally.

I was born (dropped) close to Arkansas state line but on the Oklahoma side. (Arkoma area)

I just ordered another set from a place called suspenderstore dot com. Whodathunk there was a store devoted to nothing but suspenders/braces/gallusses?

I looked at some Perry style that hook to your belt, but I'm wearing 'spenders instead of a belt, so that won't work for me. Also looked at Duluth Trading Co - one of my favorite stores - but nothing there lit my fire.

I had , well made still do boxed away in memory boxes

Around 1976 or 77 or so we were hanging around in our groups and several girls joined in with us one had a pair of suspenders ..being cool was the idea behind them

I borrowed them so I could add to my coolness lol

Any way I ended up with them to make the story short

However if I do find them I would never wear them now

    Why you ask ?

well their striped in rainbow colors at the time it was more of a hippy free sprit thing and cool of course .

unlike now what the rainbow stands for

I would use duct tape before wearing them now

Just a side note. I wear my suspenders over a T shirt and under my overshirts. Nobody knows I'm wearing them.

That must make it pretty inconvenient when you really really REALLY have to poop.

I wear the ones that clip on the side, they work good. Better without a belt but I like to have my knife attached to my belt so wear both, often.

As long as the suspenders are not worn low enough to expose most of your underwear, I see no problem at all. 😁

I always get my business done in the AM before getting dressed. I think the last time I had one of those kind of emergencies was about 35 or 40 years ago. IMMIC, it was one of those Taco Bell moments. Maybe it was KFC! 🤢

I wore bib overalls up until I was 20 or so. When you are working outside on 95 degree days the unrestricted air flow through them really helps.

Ive got the Perry type that clip on the belt, they work good, but tend to come off when you drop your pants. For that reason I avoid using them most of the time.
