Police are still debating whether to charge the shooter, who claims he acted in self-defense, with a crime.
And he eliminated a hoodlum from our midst.
And the police think he should have waited. SMH.

Maybe the truck owner should get a check from the city. Perhaps half the a amount that was saved by the city for not having to prosecute the the thief.

IMHO, the owner should be extolled.
San Antonio, being a DEMOCRAT city, means the likelihood of auto theft would probably not be investigated anyway, even if tagged.
