New to gun broker and looking for help with checkout
Hi,
I am using standard checkout as I do not have a payment gateway set up. Is a certified check the best way to get payment this way? Which company is the best to set up a payment gateway. I do not plan on selling many guns so looking for the most cost effective gateway processing company. Thanks for the help.

IF you are not selling many save the expense and do USPS MO.s,- cert. checks or Bitrail here. imo

If they can't get a certified payment as above then you probably didn't want them to bid anyway.

I have taken personal checks for the few items I have sold on GB. I don't see why so many sellers seem to have a problem with personal checks. It is one of the safest forms of payment IMO. The seller keeps possession of the auction item until the check clears, then sends item. Just state plainly in the auction description that you hold shipping until the check clears. I put in my description: "Shipping is held for 7-10 days or until check clears my bank".

Agree 100% Randy. The other positive to it is that it gives the buyer some control over the situation, especially with a new seller. I probably get more personal checks than other forms of payment, unless the buyer wants it quicker.
