When we lived in Colorado, young woman majoring in Meteorology was doing a college internship, measuring snow depth in the high country (in summer, that is Colorado water)
While kneeling to take a measurement, mountain lion attacked her from the back, trying to bite her head. She stabbed it to death with her Phillips Head screwdriver.
Note to self- Don't mess with the ladies from Colorado State.

They are spotted near our area fairly often. I usually do not think about them until I am out hunting or walking across the yard late at night.....

I've never seen a mountain lion in the woods. I'm happy about that. Big kitties do NOT want to play with the laser pointer!

If a mountain lion came up on my deck while I was in my hot tub. I dont think my hot tub filters could handle that much urine and 💩

Good God. A female fought a mountain lion to the death with a screwdriver?
Please give contact info, I want to marry her.

I read about that at lunch today.
Various neighbor's have been catching images of a big Mtn. Lion all around us, on several different Game Camera's. (We live out in the boonies.) I've seen several different images. It's pretty good size.
It's pretty well known they are in the "Forge Creek" area and "The Laurels." (Both nearby.)
I pay more attention and have my head on a swivel, when coming home in the dark. (5 days a week.)
I'd be more concerned about a big Cat, than a Big Bear. (Also in our area/holler.) Big Cat's usually attack from behind and are not bluff charging. You are Prey.

Rabbit sheriff says there are no mountain lions around here.
I know for a fact they have been seen in the area.
We also have some pretty big robert cats to. Folks always get pictures of them on game cams but the bob tail is a give away.

Pics I've been looking at, are clearly of a Mtn. Lion. Pics of their face looking at the camera up close, very long tail, etc. No question about it.
It's a Biggun.

I think I know that Rabbit sheriff's bro, he is the Prick Possum cop around here.
He has to go by the book because he don't have any common sense.
