*I've posted about this before. One of my best friends in the Army had been on the Olympic Greco-Roman Wresting Team. Talk about good back up in a fight. (He was very good at submission holds.) Bruce "Beatle" Bailey. RIP Brother. Miss you.

Finished the regular season 8-1.
Goes to tournaments this Saturday.

Grandson, just Won his first freestyle match by Tech, 11-1 in first round.

Tournaments going on. First matches no one to wrestle her, she advanced to Semi-Finals.
First round she Wins by Pin in 29 seconds.

Now in championship match, against her only loss of the season.

Lost by pin in 2nd round.
Finished her first year in Second place. 9-2 with 5 of the wins by pin.
Very proud of her.

montanajoe, CBS Sunday Morning did a segment on girls wrestling today, It is said to be the fastest growing HS sport in the country. They interviewed Olympic wrestler Sally Roberts, who founded Wrestle Like a Girl, a non-profit focused on empowering girls and women through increasing opportunities in female wrestling. I know you must be proud.
