No Trespassing
I took this pic yesterday while driving around in Madison County, NC

Yep. People up in the mountains, don't take too kindly to trespassers.

Convinced me. ποΈ

"If you can read this, you are within range!" π

Seems a welcoming sort.

On my front door, up here in the Mtns.
"Premises Protected By 12 Gauge."
Yeah, I'm the "Welcoming Sort," also. π€πππ€£

Ken, is that "Buddy 12 Gauge"?

Buddy is a semi-auto, semi-autonomous, fearsome dog, when he wants to be. If anyone broke in, or touched me in an aggressive manner, it would Really not go well for them.
Love that dog @Toolman286. β€

Copperhead road here Brother. (About 7 mi. from me.) Have multiple relatives that live on it. I usually have my Thanksgiving meal there. ( At my Mom's Sister's house.) I grew up around here.
The Song "Copperhead Road" Mentions Johnson County. (Yeah, right here, where I live.) The least populated County in TN.
You can go "Missing," around here. (And) People do.

I have seen many people lawyers included saying those cute signs and warnings are fun but in the hands of a anti gun state prosecutor if you happen to shoot some one they would use it to the full advantage against you posting such signs shows you were wanting to and Knowling set out to hurt some one
sad times in America the crooks have the upper hand
some times I think SSS would come in real handy

Across the river and up the mountain from Williamsport, Pa. there were three farms we called the French Settlement. One of the residents took a couple of shots at a fellow I knew with a shotgun. It was too far to hurt anything, but he was hit with a few pellets. Nearly a year later, Mr. Plont's barn caught fire. My friend passed away in '96 of cancer, he was only 54. Toughest man I ever knew, he worked high steel, but he couldn't fight the big C.

I put up a sign on my Tn property that read "If you can read this sign ..... you are in range"
The four wheelers got the message and stopped trespassing , they get it in the mountains.

I have a track hoe, and plenty of burying places should do the trick.

I was gonna say almost the same thing. On advice from a long time personal security expert and close friend, it's best to skip the clever, funny signage because should an altercation come to pass, lawyers will try and pin 'instigator' on the person with the signage. Premeditated and all that. Total BS, I know, but that's the way the world works.
Still, I do find those signs funny!!!

Out here in the "Country," you will find signage like that all over. You'd best head the warning.
People out here, don't "Play" too much.
Nothing "Funny" about it.

If you are truly bad there is no need for a sign. Everybody already knows.

The signs are for the ones that don't. π

I don't "think I'm Bad."
Merely warning someone that breaking in here, would be a mistake.
Obviously, Your View May Differ. (YVMD)
*I'm pretty sure, Buddy would be willing to "Welcome," You. π€πππ€£
Personally, I wouldn't want to mess with him if he is PO'd. (He IS Bad.)

There were some signs around that all it stated was-You are now on Uncle Joes property-.None of us knew who Uncle Joe was and didn't want to find out. Nobody trespassed there.

I believe the words say: anything can and will be used against you.
