My brothers and I were speculating about something similar . We have a walk in deer cooler and have over the years allowed neighbors to use it . Guts , hide , bones etc are buried in a pit nearby. It is likely that 6 or 700 deer are buried . It sits near our chicken houses where some 100,000 or more chickens are buried in pits ( died from heat or disease) Imagine several hundred years in the future when archeology types are digging around . How are they going to explain this ?

Had to clean out the basement when we moved my parents to a "facility."

Found every corsage my older sister ever got in high school.

Pickup load of cloth scraps cut to size for "rag rugs."

    And my tonsils in formaldehyde.

My late wife worked for an "estate sale" company for a while. When we moved to our "retirement house" a lot of stuff didn't make the trip -- she wasn't about to leave a houseful of things for the boys to get rid of.

Maybe they could put your Chevy in that storage center for seeds in Norway from all of the spilled fruit bowls..

That is a good mindset.....we have been doing the same thing since we retired. When my father passed away, I discovered he had 60X90 rental space full from floor to ceiling. Two sales and a couple of dumpsters took care of what we did not wish to keep or pass on. After that process I swore I would not do that to my sons !

We went thru the same thing when my mom passed. It must have been how they were raised by parents who went thru the depression.

Our parents were children of the great depression. You didn't throw anything away. Hmmmm, Is it our excuse that we are grand children of the same era?

Well, anyone that would run down a poor defenseless Vulture, with a car full of kids in the back seat, is obviously capable of just about anything. πŸ€”πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

You must keep your stash of Original Gun boxes in a different closet/storage locker. πŸ€”

@Locust Fork, you have GOT to post a picture here of that "Cat."

Seriously. Drag it out of the closet and get a photo of it. πŸ‘

We won't Judge you. (Well, not much anyway.)

I used to also always bury my deer carcasses out behind my garage here in the sticks. A few seasons ago my ground was too frozen to dig, so I just put the carcass out in the woods. Come Spring, it was totally gone! Been doing this ever since and always the same results!

Those large dumpsters to rent around here are shockingly expensive!

All I can say is I feel sorry for my wife for when I pass. She's constantly bugging me to go through my stuff but I refuse to do it.
