I was looking for a snake in the first one until I saw the end of the barrel.
Think I found them in the second one if that straight shadow is from a rifle barrel.

Anyone in reasonably environment blending colors can hide in plain sight if they limit movement enough.
Modern day camo is worthless against IR and heat sensing tech, though. That's the tough one to beat, but it is not impossible.

I tell the students (high school) when I am talking about camouflage - Movement, Shape, Color (in that order). Change/eliminate any (or all) of those and you will make it difficult to be seen.
Of course, Movement in a still photograph is a given.
Changing the order, Color is pretty well done.
Unfortunately, the item that gave him away to me is Shape (the round muzzle of the rifle). Don't forget to change the shape.

Color gave him away on the second one (after I got out my binoculars - Ctrl+). He needs to do something with his hands.
The second one - I will look just a little bit harder - with my spotting scope. I will spend most of my time looking in the shadows under the vegetation. If that doesn't show me anything, I will just call in arty for the first guy anyway. 😉
