Bella , my wonder lab and companion for the last 11 years crossed the rainbow Bridge this afternoon . The vet said it was time . All I know is it was one of the hardest things I have ever done .

Yes, sir. It is indeed one of the hardest things a person has to do. Doesn't even matter if it was the right thing to do. Still hurts like nothing else.

Hopefully Bella and my old Nina (black lab) will get together and go for a swim and chase a frisbee. Man, that dog loved playing frisbee. :)

    Hang in there, @pulsarnc.

Pulsarnc, So sorry about Bella. Know that she will reside in your heart forever. Lost my sweetheart Diane just before Christmas. My little dog "Willie" is 11 now and has one issue Vet can't figure out. At this point in my life I can't imagine life without "Willie"-----Ray

    Sorry for your loss.

I cut this quote out of a magazine a long time ago it is suppose to be from a 6 year old

“People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life — like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?”

    The Six-year-old continued,

“Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay for as long as we do.”

This painting sums up my feelings very well about our K-9 companions. They truly are our life-long friends.

Thank you so much for posting "Waiting at the door" My little Willie always waited at the glass French door between Kit and Living Room when i came thru front door. He pressed his noise against glass and wiggled his little stub when i opened the door. Marched beside me to TV room where i always picked him up and hugged him.

I put your picture on top of Willies leash and collar that are above all his toys. He is in Heaven now with my sweetheart Diane.-------------------------Ray

Its a lot different coming home without her to greet me at the door . Taking some getting used to . Thanks for the kind words

My heart goes out to you and Ray, both.

You guy's need to head to the Rescue shelter and find a new Love. Name them after your lost one and remember them everytime you say the name.

Rescue dog's, just seem to "Know," they are being removed from a bad situation.

It will do you both, a world of good to be able to love on, hug and hold each other.
