FYI--If you look closely, DR Pepper is spelled without a period afterย the DR, no idea why!

All I know is that Mr. Pibb was jealous because "I'm a pepper, you're a pepper, wouldn't you like to be a pepper too!" He really tried hard but just only came close!

It doesn't have a period because it's not female.

RC ( royal crown cola ) was the preferred brand when I was a kid to have

with a moon pie or peanuts put into the RC

I read it was a common snack for many workers, that way they did not have to touch the peanuts or food with their dirty hands ( like a coal miner for example. and made a quick food source and cheap

W will ad in as a young kid I thought every one dumped that small bag of peanuts into their bottle of pop ( what ever type they liked of course )

๐Ÿ˜ฅ and moon pies had to have been 4 x or 5x the current size they are now

5 cent candy bars 10 cent bottle of pop ( with a 2 cent deposit ) funny now thinking about it

My mom liked drinking Dr pepper , the rest of us not so much at the time

one last thought about it on the week ends each one of us kids got a bottle of pop it was a special treat the rest of the time it was water, milk or kool aid in the summer

To me, the dominant flavor in DP is black cherry, but there's some prune in there, too. Now, I truly like both black cherry and prunes, but do not care for DP or Pibb. I don't care for sweets, and those two are horribly sweet.

I've pretty much stopped drinking sodas. I'll have one Canada Dry Ginger Ale a week - or less. For a really refreshing fizzy drink, I'll make a South Hampton: iced tonic water with a hefty shot of bitters. No cloying sweetness there, brother, just clean taste.

In the 1950s, the Dr Pepper logo was redesigned. In the new version, the text was slanted and the font was changed. Designers felt that the period made "Dr." look like "Di:" so for reasons of style and legibility, the period was dropped

Interesting DP trivia there chme! Thank you.

I guess one could call this Dr Pepper's "Menopausal" period. ๐Ÿ™„
