I have tried a few. Ended up using JW Bullion. Pay with electronic check for no fee and free shipping with minimum order.

I've been buying from APMEX for 10 years and have had no problems.

Apmex is usually higher. Jm bullion is good. Silvertowne is where I've bought the most though, check them first. Or buy at local to you coin store, I have several I've bought from(all 2 hours away, I'm in the middle of nowhere).

Selling it back is where the higher cost comes in.

Thanks for the suggestions. After doing a bit of shopping around, I bought some silver from JM. The prices were all really close, and my credit union president said he used JM Bullion.

Something very strange going on. After just reading these posts, I started getting adds all over my social media sites for JM Bullion! 😲

I used to use JMBullion, but they have gravitated away from a lot of pure bullion products to gimmicky cartoon-type things. Also, the quality of their packaging has declined a lot from what it used to be. I don't like to receive a package that jingles giving away what is inside, and potentially damaging the metals.

I now use mostly APMEX. Service is excellent, and they have about the widest selection of products around. And their packaging is wonderful.

Oh, I won't hesitate to dump a company for shoddy service. Thought I'd give them a chance because of several recommendations. Thanks for your input!!

JW Bullion and APMEX are both good.

I will second these two...........bt JM Bullion charges separate shipping fees......they are built in at APMEX........compare final cost.

When buying pre 64 US silver coins........keep in mind that the silver content is only 90%............and those old Morgan dollars are only 3/4 oz of silver weight.......not a full ounce of pure silver like a silver eagle or other bullion coin

Something to talk or brag about but precious metal is generally worthless in a SHTF scenario. Just try to spend that stuff and some tough dude will take it all and leave you bleeding in the grass. I've got some silver dollars that Dad and Mom had rat holed but it's not an 'investment' or leverage against a financial breakdown.

Brass and lead will be far more important and will feed me better than some little bits of gold or silver.

Agreed. I just sold off an alarming amount of gold and silver my mother had stashed in a closet. I didn't know she had it and she had nearly forgotten about it. At her request, I sold it for market value and divided the proceeds between the four of us siblings.

It's a VERY good thing her neighbors didn't know she had it.

I typically use either sd bullion or bullion exchanges but if I’m looking for something unique or collectible apmex though high always seems to have the hard to find items
