Lee Loader
Many years ago, I was give one of these in .300 Savage. My neighbor had a Savage 99 and was given the Lee as a Christmas present. I think he didn't trust reloads (or himself!), so I ended up with the Lee. The .300 I had is a Remington 722 and I like to neck size so I use that feature of the set. I've never completely loaded a cartridge with the Lee and am tempted to try it. It would certainly put the"hand" back in handloading! The load data included seems ultra conservative. Since the 99 is a rear locking action, I wonder how often a case could be loaded with the Lee before full length sizing would be needed.
Anybody here start with a Lee Loader?

Yes I did back when I was in high school in the 70s. I still have them too. 30-06, 45-70, and 45 Colt. Loaded and shot many hundreds of rounds loaded with those loaders. As long as you are continually shooting those cases in the same rifle, you should never have to full length resize.

I also have several that I purchased back in the 70's. Never had a problem with them. I still use the .410 on a regular basis. Lee makes a good product at a fair price.

That's how I started....30-06 of course...still have it...and I likely will forever.

I bought a Lee 10 ga, 3 1/2 inch re-loader few years ago for not much.
Reload for turkey hunting.
See jaw dropper prices on fleece bay now days for the 10 gauge Lee reloader.

I used a Lee Loader a few times, and they work well, but are slow. But, since I have had a RCBS press since I was 17, I used it (and other presses) all of my life.

Love those Lee .45-70 stump loaders. Find a stump and a mallet, get to work.
