I have more faith in the average man than most people do!! I would do the same thing, I would be willing to bet 95% of the GB people would also turn the wallet in.

My shoes are the gray ones on the right side of the picture.

    Why do you ask?

Last time I found a wallet was at a dairy queen. This was a VERY busy store at a vacation area. The lady behind the counter acted like it was a trap or an explosive. She barely touched it and placed it under the counter while giving me a dirty look. Not sure if the owner ever got it back, but I did my part.

I left my wallet on the counter of a Sears store some 40 + years ago. I had walked away but not far, noticed it was missing and when I returned to retrieve it just a minute or two later......it was gone!! I questioned the counter girl, who said she never saw it. The store was not busy and I know I was her last customer but???

About a week later I got a call from the mall security that told me my wallet had been found in a female restrooms trash can. It was just an empty wallet with my drivers license the only thing left. Lost a Sears credit card and about 85 dollars.

Because I figured the guy with the bright white shoes must have been the first day he wore them that is the only time mine look like that.

I've found a couple of wallets in the last few years. One was in a big-box parking lot; it contained , as I recall, $607 cash, cards, etc. I took it home and contacted the owner. He ended up giving me a $50 gift card to the store, which was nice. The other wallet I found was lying in the street, probably having fallen off of a car roof. It contained about $200 cash, a key for a Lexus and a title to a 28-foot boat.I went to considerable trouble to track down the owner. He said to send it to him by registered mail and to keep the change from a $20 bill. He didn't bother to actually thank me. Some folks are great, others not so much.

I found a wallet that blew off a towed boat as it was pulling out of a gas station. I actually saw it go flying. Strange part was that it belonged to a tourist visiting from London England. Had several credit cards and some of that English funny money along with about 600 USA bucks. I had no way to try to contact the guy so I took the wallet to our local State Police station. I never got to hear anything else from there but hopefully it got back to its rightful owner.
