Happy Birthday OREO
The Oreo cookie is 111years old today.
I like the fudge covered ones

Did you know that Oreo is a blatant ripoff of the original Hydrox sandwich cookie? Or that Oreo began (and still do) bribing stores to monopolize shelf space for their own products? Which is why in most stores, you can find nothing but Oreos and various chocolate chip varieties.
They still make Hydrox, and there are many who argue it's the better one. If you can find them, that is.

Find the Hydrox cookie or the ones that like it? ;)
Happy Birthday Oreo! Lots of modern flavors but I like the original the best.

Milk's favorite cookie! Too bad they are one of the foods I stopped eating because I needed to drop 25 pounds a couple of years ago before some surgeries. BUT, I do love em!!!!!

A little of both, Kevin. It's hard to find Hydrox cookies, which in turn makes finding their fans difficult.
I've seen Hydrox at my local Dollar Tree store. Except for having two in the morning with my coffee, I'm not a cookie eater. So I haven't had a Hydrox lately. Maybe I'll search some out, though.

No more oreos for me after they chose the woke path.

I quit buying Oreos after I saw that TV documentary (Foods that built America) about how they blatantly copied Hydrox and then monopolized store shelf space by extortion. Going woke recently only added to my determination to abjure them.
My morning cookie with coffee (to settle my stomach a bit from the acid) are pecan sandies, chocolate chip, shortbread, peanut butter, or several kinds of Italian baked goods. Lately, I've been having two of the four "breakfast biscuits" in a pack of Belvitas, which are quite good.

Did you know that Belvita and Oreo are owned by the same woke parent company Mondelez?

Surely......this is a trick question.
I chose Hydrox over Oreo........over 6 decades ago!! ๐ฅฐ
Didn't know about Oreo's shady history...........which only makes a Hydrox taste better. ๐

It's a racist term- black on the outside, white on the inside.

Survival food in my 4X4.

Don't care for them. I buy what I grew up with. The very cheap sandwich cookies with the store brands name on them. Partial to the vanilla type, sometimes lemon. Cost about 1\3 of what Oreos sell for.
P.S. I was also raised on Oleo margarine (butter flavored lard) ๐ฎ Took me years to adapt (afford) real butter and never looked back.

Pecan sandies are my favorite. My grandmother used to buy them. She would let us dunk them in a cup of coffee. I still do that today.

I prefer Hydrox personally. The best cookie ever were Nabisco's Ideal cookies. Anybody remember those?

Growing up my favorite store bought cookies were Nutter Butter cookies and Archway brand soft chocolate chip cookies

I love those things!!......also known as FudgeSticks.
As a kid, I would sneak a few at a time from my grandmother's pantry. When finished......half a package was gone.
Truthfully though......in years past I've had many Pecan Sandies, and dunked more than a few Chips Ahoy cookies in hot tea. But I guess I'm world famous.......at least in our house......for cooking Pillsbury Chocolate Cookie Dough cookies. ๐ช At least my kids thought so.......about 30 years ago. You know.......hot....tasty......and someone besides them does the cooking. ๐

Rocky I saw that Foods That Built America show. Unbelievable, the bitter battles between these cookie companies.
