It's on the low priority list to play with/fix. One of these days, I'll take it down to my buddies shop. He has confirmed he has teenie tiny little Torx bits to remove the side plate, to look at the "Cocking cam." I'd rather open it up and look at it to see what might have caused it (the jam) rather than put a bent paperclip up the magazine well to try to blindly locate the cocking cam and "pull it down."

If it's not that, he has a brass punch to help me drive out the "Slide Holdback," Take down lever. (All my punches/nail sets are steel.

He is interested as well, as he is a fellow Gun Nut.

Between the two of us (he is a mechanical genius) we will figure out what caused it. To hopefully prevent it from happening in the future.

@forgemonkey was kind enough to share his knowledge of the 1911 and tried to help me solve the feed problem with mine (Thanks Forge!) Without success. He advised against trying to smooth out and polish the ramp. (What I thought the issue was.) The ramp had a pretty good step to it. (Chamber support when in battery?)

I don't know. I sold both of mine shortly thereafter.

Should have functioned when it left the factory. Not, try this, now try that.

    But I digress.

Put a piece of red electrical on the gun so you remember it's red tagged

It's right here by my left hand on the couch. Magazine removed. I treat ALL my firearms like they are loaded. (Because they likely are.) Finger off the trigger at all times.

I'm not Senile enough (quite yet) to have to "Red Tag," a firearm I am having an issue with.

    It's been seriously, "Low Priority."

My buddy down the road, (a Firearms enthusiast) and has his "Fabrication, Welding, Mechanics Shop." Is usually covered up with business. I've not taken it down to him yet, in order to take the side plate off with his teenie tiny "Torx," bit that it requires. I know he's very busy and have not wanted to take up his time.

He knows it is chambered with a live round. We are both curious what it is. Kahr, seems to think it is the "Cocking Cam," under this removable side plate.

Well shoot. I mean no, don't shoot it. Dang that was close. Kick it up on priority a notch or 2, it's been over a month.

    Let us know.

Yeah, I know Joe. (Really, a mo.?) It has been an extremely low priority in the general scheme of my Life, right now.

I've had a lot of things going on, demanding my attention. This has not been one of them. 🤔

Understand. Curious of what is the cause and why. More than likely the manufctr. is correct as they been through it many times already.

I will post about it, when it is rectified.
