Screech Owls

We have had 2 wood duck boxes up for years with the woodies normally using at least each season. Both now have these small screech owls inhabiting them! Not knowing about such owls I'm just wondering how this might affect the spring wood duck scenario? Thanks

  I used to have a wood duck house & for a couple of (MN) winters a little screech owl was using it but left when spring came.
