Rediculously (sp?) fun to shoot. Your's looks like a 5-5.5". I've got one in the 7.5" barrel length. π
I paid (a'hem) more than you did, and still thought I had not spent too much for what I got.
They are impressively accurate for the money. π

Looks great, congrats. We have a Ruger Wrangler S/A .22 and it is a ton of fun to plink with. Have fun.

Give us a range report when you have a chance to spend some time shooting !!!
I do like living in MO....plunk down your cash, do the form, wait between 1 and 10 minutes or so...Then take it home !

You're going to get a laugh out of this.... My dad goes in to get the gun. I had put it in his name because he has a real ID and I wasn't sure how all that worked with online sales. Our LGS just keeps a copy of my birth certificate on file... Anyway, the manager who we know and do our business with has to give dad a lesson on how to operate the gun before it can leave the store and he had to take a test even though he bought his 1911 just 2 years ago. π³ππ€π‘π€¬
What crazy times we live in. Dad was glad we had watched a YouTube video on the Heritage. Lol

Sorry you guys have to go through all of that nonsense

Damn. Ten days? I can walk into a store here and be back out to my car in 10 minutes or done in 30 seconds face to face.

Why wait till the weather clears up? just open a window. Looks like it will be a fun gun to shoot.

And then it's takes at least a half hour to buy it and another one to pick it up π

Not a completely bad idea to go over a new gun with a customer, BUT...
@Lady Rae Does the manager have to be schooled & certified to do this?

Probably lol it's ACE Hardware so they probably make them jump through extra hoops.
I have learned to never underestimate Commifornia and it's stupidness... I go through a lot of trouble just to buy ammo. Pretty bad when you start carrying a copy of your birth certificate with you. I'm sure when I get a Real ID it will be a bit easier ππ€ͺ

I remember living in the Communist State of NJ. Had to put in a "Permit" through the Sheriff in order to buy one. (A Handgun.) Fingerprints etc. (Akin to what you have to go through in most States, for a CCW.) Except this is for one handgun purchase. Took me about 4-6 mo. as I remember it, to get my "Handgun Purchase Permit." (Then) You have a limited time to buy it. (90 days?) [1989'ish?]
God, I am SO glad I no longer live there. ππ
Have things changed @Oakie?

They are a hoot. Love mine.

"Gun Snobs," Bad mouth them. (But) I gotta say, one of the most fun guns (and accurate) I have for the $$.
I am sure my Son is gonna Love it, when he comes down to visit, (and) shoot floating leaves in our Mountain pond, about 5 levels down from my 2nd level back deck.
Yes, I went there. ππ
Dynamic targets are great. High banks and trees all around our pond. It's Very safe all you "never, ever shoot in the water" types. (You'd have to see my set up.) Distance is perfect.
Enjoy Rae.

OMG, what if you hit a frog or fish???
Do it right. Haul some old TVs, a refrigerator, and glass bottles down to the pond bank to shoot at.

Broken glass will eventually turn into smooth pretty glass stones. In a few hundred years of tumbling along the shore line! π²
I remember here in Michigan over 20+ years ago, I had to take a newly purchased pump pellet pistol into the local county sheriff for inspection and permit to keep it!!

That's why I love Kentucky..I can go to the flea market this weekend..buy a gun and bring it home..no worries...

No 10 day wait here in Colorado. Yet. But more of California moves here every day so it's probably just a matter of time.
I've looked at that Rough Rider a few times and thought it would be a fun one. Good to know it's a nice little plinker.
